COPS are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was forced to hand his bike over to a gang of men.

The 18-year-old was cycling in Morpeth Street in Bethnal Green when he was approached by six men.

The group surrounded him as one of the men demanded he get off his bike.

The thief, described as black around 20-years-old and six-foot tall, then jumped on the bike and rode off along Morpeth Road towards Roman Road.

He was described as wearing a black hooded top and dark-coloured trousers.
