Officers from the Met’s roads and transport policing command are appealing for witnesses after a serous collision on the Limehouse Link tunnel this morning.

A moped was found to have collided with a stationary lorry when police and paramedics were called to the A1203 Limehouse Link just before 9.30am.

The moped rider, a man in his 30s, remains in hospital with serious injuries to his chest and spine.

The driver of the lorry stopped and the scene and is helping police with their enquiries, the Met said.

He has not been arrested.

Officers want to see dash cam footage of the incident.
