POLICE tonight were waiting for results of a hospital examination after an elderly man was seriously injured in a road accident in East London. POLICE tonight were waiting for results of a hospital examination after an elderly man was seriously injured in a road accident in East London.
The man was crossing Old Bethnal Green Road during the evening rush hour when he was involved in the accident with a red Hyundai car on the corner of Temple Street in Bethnal Green.
The road was cordoned off for investigations while the man was taken by ambulance to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel with multiple injuries. The cordon was still operating two hours later, while officers waited to hear from doctors.
