Police hunt hit-run driver after woman dragged on bonnet

POLICE are looking for the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run in East London in which a man was injured and his girlfriend was dragged along on the bonnet, after an accident at 6.30pm in Cottage Street, off the main A13 East India Dock Road in Poplar

POLICE are looking for the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run in East London in which a man was injured and his girlfriend was dragged along on the bonnet.

The car failed to stop last night after an accident at 6.30pm in Cottage Street, off the main A13 East India Dock Road in Poplar, said eye witnesses.

The vehicle is then reported to have continued with the injured pedestrian's girlfriend said to have been clinging to the bonnet. The injured man was taken by ambulance to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
