POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two robberies occurred minutes apart in the same area on Sunday (January 16).
A pair of thugs targeted a 25-year-old man as he walked from Willis Street into Haycurrie Street in Poplar at 7.10pm before running towards St Leonards Road.
At 7.30pm, a 51-year-old man was coming out of Langdon Park DLR station when two men punched him in the face before showing him a knife and robbing him.
The thugs were white and aged 20 to 30.
One was slim with short blond hair and wore a grey top and the second had short dark hair and wore a black top.
