DETECTIVES revisit the scene of a street brawl in East London this-evening (Saturday) where two schoolboys were stabbed exactly one week ago.

They return to the area in East Ham around Tollgate Road and Dove Approach between 7 and 10pm to hand out leaflets appealing for witnesses.

Police were called to a disturbance just after 9pm last Saturday (January 9) where they found a 16-year-old in Osprey Close with stab wounds to the chest.

He was taken by ambulance to hospital where he has remained in a critical condition all week.

The second boy, aged 15, was stabbed in the leg during the same incident. He was also taken to hospital, but left after treatment.

Both had been to a party in Neatscourt Road when youths arrived and a fight broke out, which spilled into the streets where the boys were knifed.

The youths, described as black teenagers, then made off. Both victims are also black.

“This was a violent attack that left a young man seriously injured,” said Det Ins Tony Lynes. “We need to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and in particular at the party, which was attended by 60 people.”

Witnesses or anyone with information is being urged to call police on 020-7275 5881, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
