POLICE investigating the death of a young father hit by a car while being involved in a chase on foot across the road are returning to the spot early in the morning (Sunday) to find witnesses.

Jamie O'Sullivan was killed just half-a-mile from his home in East London at 4.27am while involved in the chase across Old Street at 4.30am last Sunday, the day after Boxing Day.

Officers return between 2am and 5.30am handing out leaflets to passers-by in Old Street, at the junction with Singer Street, hoping to jog people's memories.

They are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to call the incident room on 020-8345 1570, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555111.
