THE owner of a dangerous dog has been cautioned after his animal attacked a passer-by.
The 56-year-old was given the police caution in East London on Monday for allowing his pet to be dangerously out of control in a public place.
The dog attacked a 34-year-old man in Grove Road, Mile End, who then had to have medical treatment for leg cuts.
The dog has been seized by police and is being assessed by vet s to determine whether it is a banned breed before a decision on whether it would have to be put down.
