HOME Secretary Alan Johnson MP is on his way to the East End to hear local concerns about the future of policing in the area.

Mr Johnson will visit the Isle of Dogs police station this morning before joining MP Jim Fitzpatrick for a question and answer session with local people.

He will meet representatives from the police as well as the safer neighbourhood team and residents from the Isle of Dogs.

Mr Fitzpatrick has been campaigning against proposed cuts to local policing proposed by Mayor of London Boris Johnson.
