A Chinese delegation has visited London’s East End to find out how public services are run in Tower Hamlets.
The delegates looked in at the Town Hall to learn about social services and to exchange ideas and experiences on public health management.
They discussed child protection, nursing and home care services and how they can set up similar practices in Shanghai.
The group included five leaders from Shanghai City’s Changing District, including directors of sports, public health, community, disease control & prevention, publicity and a municipal hospital.
The visit formed part of a research trip visiting several cities in the UK.
It was also a chance for Town Hall bosses to find out how the Chinese tackle public health and welfare in one of the most crowded population areas on the planet.
