The polling stations for the 2016 London mayoral election close at 10pm tonight. Wondering what time the winner the mayoral election 2016 will be announced?

The vote counting will start early tomorrow morning at 8am at three sites across London - Alexandra Palace, Excel, and Olympia.

Although the winner of the mayoral election could be announced earlier, it’s likely to happen at some time between 10pm and midnight on Friday 6 May.

The declaration will be made at City Hall, along with that of the 11 London-wide Assembly Members.

London24 will be at City Hall reporting live all day tomorrow and until the result is announced.
