A technician is pitting his wits against bus operator employees from across the country in an engineering contest next week.
Andy Onslow is a body technician for Go-Ahead London bus operator who is to travel to a contest in Bristol where he will compete in a series of tasks as judges seek to discover the best bus engineers around.
The Poplar resident was highly commended along with his team mates at the contest last year.
The contest is being organised by the Institute of Road Transport Engineers, whose chief executive Nick Jones paid tribute to the role of technicians in keeping the country moving and ensuring transport is safe and efficient.
