Shoppers in Bromley-by-Bow are reminded that they can still buy their poppies at the Tesco store in Three Mill Lane.
They are available at the store’s Customer Service Desk and their sale helps raise funds for the Royal British Legion.
Lee Blake, the store’s community champion, said: “For at least the past six or seven years, we have had customers complaining that they cannot find anywhere in our community to buy their poppy.
“So far we have had a fantastic response from our customers and poppies are being sold at a faster rate than baked beans.”
