Developers planning massive changes for Fish Island, such as park space and hundreds of homes, are asking residents what they think about their proposals.

The Neptune Group want to build “Neptune Wharf” on the isolated area of land in Bow, near Hackney Wick, and have submitted their plans to the London Legacy Development Corporation and launched a public consultation.

Developers want to build between 650 and 800 new homes, restore roads running through the site, and create 2.5 acres of open space, including a revitalised canal area lined with shops and cafes.

Public exhibitions on the plans are taking place on Saturday, December 1, at the White Building, in White Post Lane, Hackney Wick, from 10am until 4pm, and on Monday, December 3, at the site’s offices on Wyke Road, Fish Island, from 2pm to 8pm. The print edition of the Advertiser and the Newham Recorder incorrectly stated that Saturday’s event was due to run form 10am until 4pm. We apologise for the error.
