A public meeting against missiles being stationed in Bow during the Olympics is being held this evening.
Brian Whelan, a journalist and resident at the Bow Quarter block of flats, where the missiles are like to be put during this summer’s Games, will be speaking at the meeting at St Paul’s Church on St Stephen’s Road, in Bow, starting at 6.30pm.
Other speakers include Tower Hamlets councillor Rania Khan, resident and vice chair of the Stop the War Coalition, Chris Nineham, and political officer of the RMT union Unjum Mirza.
