Fire chiefs are set to hold a public meeting on the future of stations in Tower Hamlets on Tuesday.

The London Fire Brigade has organised the meeting as part of a consultation on the future of sites – with Bow fire station among those under threat.

The plan is part of a London-wide drive to save up almost £38million from the budget – with a total of 12 stations across the capital threatened with closure.

A consultation on the planned closures is due to run until June 17.

The meeting will be held at 7pm on Tuesday, May 7 at the Skeel Lecture Theatre, People’s Palace Building in Queen Mary University, Mile End Road.
