Pupils from Tower Hamlets were among the first to take a free audio and video tour with Olympic Gold medalist Jonathan Edwards telling the story of 2012 Park.
The students from Bishop Challonor School in Whitechapel, along with pupils from other Olympic host boroughs, last week tested the 25 minute audio tour narrated by the triple jump world record holder.
The guide for visitors to the Greenway, a 2.5km public walking and cycling path, running along the Olympic Park, offers visitors an insight into the creation of the Olympic venues, parklands and infrastructure and their legacy.
Mr Edwards said: “The regenerated Greenway is a popular vantage point to see how the Olympic Park is changing the skyline of east London. This tour will help explain how this transformation has been achieved and how the venues, infrastructure and parklands will work during and after the Games.”
Over 150,000 people have visited the Olympic Park on bus tours and thousands more have visited the Greenway.
