The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will visit the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel this morning.
Excited crowds are expected to gather outside the hospital in Stepney Way to catch a glimpse of the royals.
The Queen and Prince Philip have been invited to enjoy a tour of the hospital and meet patients and staff before officially opening the Atrium, a new section of the hospital which underwent a multimillion pound refurbishment programme.
The royal couple are then due to head to the National Bowel Cancer Research Centre in nearby Newark Street, where they will visit state-of-the art laboratories and unveil a plaque to mark the visit.
