A CONTROVERSIAL Islamic preacher banned from Australia is on his way to an conference in East London.
Dr Bilal Philips is set to speak at the Troxy, Commercial Road, Stepney, on June 20 despite a history of anti-Semitic, anti-homosexual rhetoric and alleged links to terrorist atrocities.
Last year Mr Philips cancelled a German tour in the face of widespread public opposition to his views.
He was banned from entering Australia in 2007 as a 'risk to national security.'
Mr Philips was named as an 'unindicted co-conspirator' in the World Trade Centre bombings of 1993 - an allegation he has always denied.
Mr Philips will be joined at the conference - "The Book That Shook The World" organised by UK Islamic conferences - by a series of other speakers, including Hussein Yee, a Malaysian convert who has also made anti-Semitic statements.
