Rail passengers in east London can now go online with their laptops with a new Wi-Fi link at Stratford station.
Free Wi-Fi has been installed in a deal rail bosses have made with The Cloud internet connection providers, the first of 100 Greater Anglia stations to be linked.
“We recognise the internet is a vital part of people’s lives,” said Greater Anglia’s Andrew Goodrum. “Passengers are using mobile devices on their journies and we want to provide them with Wi-Fi so they can work, shop or browse while at the station.”
The internet connection is also now available at Shenfield and Chelmsford stations and is being introduced elsewhere on the Anglia rail network over the next few months.
