Recruitment open day for Tower Hamlets police

TOWER Hamlets police is holding an open day to boost its recruitment drive. People interested in joining the police as an officer or as a civilian can come along to the open day at Bethnal Green Police Station on Saturday, May 15 from 11am-3pm for a tour

TOWER Hamlets police is holding an open day to boost its recruitment drive.

People interested in joining the police as an officer or as a civilian can come along to the open day at Bethnal Green Police Station on Saturday, May 15 from 11am-3pm for a tour of the station and custody suite.

There will also be presentations from specialist units, including the dog unit and the firearms unit.

The day is part of a recruitment drive to encourage people to join the police as a regular officer, special constable, paid police staff, volunteer or for people considering being a ward panel member or member of the Independent Advisory Group.

The minimum age for attendance is 18 and applicants must have no criminal record and be a resident of the UK for a minimum of three years.
