The nation will soon bow its collective head in silent respect for the millions who have lost their lives through war and conflict.
As Remembrance Day approaches, we’re asking readers which poems and songs about the First and Second World Wars — as well as modern conflicts — are their favourites.
Does hearing We’ll Meet Again bring a tear to your eye or the sombre verse of In Flanders Fields draw your mind to your own family and loved ones.
