VOLUNTEERS with a passion to help create a new park along the River Lea in East London are joining a community board to help the project take shape.
The park is to include a 'fat walk' near Three Mills Island at Bromley-by-Bow with a bird's eye view of the wildlife along the riverbank.
A permanent exhibition of the history of the River Lea is also planned at Blackwall's East India Dock Basin, where the Lea runs into the Thames.
The community board's first meeting is tomorrow (September 7).
