FIRE crews sealed off part of the busy Burdett Road in Mile End last night over fears of a gas leak from a propane cylinder
FIRE crews sealed off part of a main road in East London in a gas alert after a propane cylinder was found to be leaking.
Burdett Road in Mile End was closed for three hours on Thursday night as Fire Brigade and British Gas experts were called in to take air samples to determine if there was a gas danger.
But it was found to be stale air seeping from the cylinder, which was declared safe and Burdett Road was reopened.
