THE Royal Engineers are making history by appearing at the London International Boat Show for the first time since the show began in 1954.
The Corps of Royal Engineers is bringing a collection of military boats to be displayed both on the water and on land outside the ExCeL centre near Silvertown in East London, where the show runs for 10 days from January 8 to 17.
The display includes demonstrations of the military craft in action three times a day in the Royal Victoria dock during the 10 days including a 'rigid raider' craft.
The Royal Engineers give insight into their lives as soldiers who play a vital role in the effectiveness of the British Army as well as the Royal Navy and RAF
The Combat Support boat they use is a powerful, versatile craft to support bridging and amphibious operations.
