The Duchess of Cornwall was in Tower Hamlets this morning to tour Mulberry School for Girls and open a new community centre.
Camilla chatted to pupils and got involved in lessons at the school in Shadwell before moving on to officially open the new Mulberry and Bigland Green Community Centre nearby.
Mulberry School has established itself as one of the highest-performing secondaries in Tower Hamlets, and the Duchess joined in with sign language classes alongside some of the school’s special needs pupils.
After a tour of the school, she attended a reception to mark the opening of the new Mulberry and Bigland Green Community Centre in Bigland Street. The Centre aims to provide healthcare, education, advice and support for young people up to the age of 19.
