A horse-drawn cart led the East End’s own royals – the Pearly King and Queen of Bow Bells – through the streets to commemorate the special day last Friday.
Doreen Golding, the queen, and Harry Mayhead, the king, waved the way only blue blood knows how as they were led through Spitalfield’s Blossom Street.
A few suitably outlandish gypsy bridesmaids and brides were spotted, along with performers on stilts and other revellers in their glad rags.
The crowds then enjoyed a fish and chips supper after watching the wedding on big screens.
