Kids ruled the day at Mile End Park’s Royal Wedding celebrations with play tents, fairground rides and a grand feast to keep them occupied during the vows.
Union Jacks painted on young faces were a common sites, as were cupcakes, sandwiches and fizzy drinks.
The events, organised by the council and attended by mayor Lutfur Rahman, also included a fancy dress competition, craft sessions, story telling and face painting.
Even pets were encouraged to get in on Wills and Kate mania, with one mutt sporting a Union Jack flag on his back.
