MAJOR research into the common cold will be taking place in the East End as scientists sets up home at Queen Mary today.
Europe's leading anti-viral research team, Retroscreen Virology, who are finding ways to tackle a range of viruses are setting up their laboratories on Queen Mary University of London's Whitechapel campus at its BioEnterprises Innovation Centre.
The centre, next to the Blizzard Building in Newark Street and near to the college's School of Medicine and Dentistry, provides state-of-the art facilities for high-tech companies within the Life Sciences sector.
And Retroscreen Virology will be taking up 1,300 sq meters of the laboratory floor and clinical bed space to become the centre's first anchor tenant.
