THE HUNT is on to locate former pupils of Tower Hamlets School for Girls in time for a reunion evening later this month.

Ex pupils from the classes of 1971 to 1981 will be descending upon the Lord Nelson pub, Manchester Road on the Isle of Dogs on Saturday July 17 for the gathering.

But organisers have been unable to trace all their former colleagues at the school which has since been renamed Mulberry after the mulberry trees brought to the East End by Huguenot refugees in the seventeenth century.

Brenda Duncan has set up a facebook page Tower Hamlets School for Girls with further details of the event which starts at 12.30pm and continues until 3.30pm.
