A series of seminars for wannabe entrepreneurs setting up their first business is planned in London’s deprived East End in an area with high unemployment.
Subjects include things to know when starting a new enterprise and 10 crucial steps to get started.
The courses run by One Housing Group are next Wednesday (May 25) at Suttons Wharf South in Bethnal Green, 6-9pm, Wednesday June 8 at Stratford Circus in Theatre Square, 6-9pm, and for women only on Saturday June 18, back at Suttons Wharf South, 10am-4pm, attendance free.
The housing group’s community officer Althea Bart said: “We hope the seminars inspire new entrepreneurs, whether it’s mums who want extra income or someone who’s recently been made redundant.”
It follows London Mayor Boris Johnson’s launch last week of a series of summer business ‘bootcamps’ to help first-timers set up their own companies.
