THE Shadow Home Secretary visited the East End this week to lend his support to a campaign to improve policing on the Isle of Dogs.
Chris Grayling MP met Tower Hamlets police Borough Commander Paul Rickett at Isle of Dogs police station in Manchester Road on Monday morning before meeting Islanders and discussing their concerns.
Mr Grayling said: "There is a lot we will do to free up the police from the paperwork and bureaucracy.
"I've just seen the weekly reporting that the Borough Commander has to do; it runs to dozens of pages.

"I don't want our police having to fill in forms, and collating endless statistics. I want our police patrolling places like the Isle of Dogs.
