A SILENT auction featuring the works of Spitalfields-based artist Tracey Emin and Billy Childish has raised 18,000 for charity.
The works were inspired by the icon Clash album cover London Calling and were sold to boost the funds of the Ray Lowry Foundation which offers financial support to budding artists.
They were displayed with some of Mr Lowry's work at the Idea Generation in Chance Street in Shoreditch.
Clash roadie Johnny Green read from his books at the event and exhibiting artist Anat Ben-David presented a live performance piece.
