Singing soldiers to perform at East London table dancing club

Three serving soldiers will give their vocals a try-out in east London tomorrow night (November 30) at an event in aid of Help the Heroes.

The Soldiers will host their own evening at Secrets table dancing club in East Smithfield.

Sergeant Major Gary Chilton, Sergeant Richie Maddocks and Lance Corporal Ryan Idzi, who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan and released a debut album in October 2009 called Coming Home, will perform on stage and collect a cheque for Help the Heroes.

Stephen Less, owner of Secrets table dancing clubs, said: “I couldn’t go out there and fight but someone has to.

“You have to give back sometimes and it’s nice to be in a position to do things for others.”
