Skills academy gives helping hand to wannabe high-fliers

THE East End s recently-opened National Skills Academy for Financial Services holds an open event for careers advice next Tuesday (March 18). It is aimed at helping those interested in working in the financial industries, especially with Canary Wharf business district on our doorstep

THE East End's recently-opened National Skills Academy for Financial Services holds an open event for careers advice next TuesdayMarch 18).

It is aimed at helping those interested in working in the financial industries, especially with Canary Wharf business district on our doorstep.

They can meet training and careers advisers to find out how to get the skills and experiences needed to apply for jobs in finance.

The event organised by Tower Hamlets College, Jobcentre Plus, Learning & Skills Council, Elba regeneration agency and the local authority is open to anyone of all ages and backgrounds living in Tower Hamlets. Just turn up on the day at the academy at the George Green Building, 155 East India Dock Road, Poplar, next Tuesday March 18), from 12 noon to 5pm.
