SPITALFIELDS City Farm is in the running for a �1,000 prize in a contest which champions charities.
The farm which encourages visitors to learn more about farm animals and gardening is one of 35 small and medium sized charities shortlisted in the contest.
Based in Buxton Street the farm is volunteer-led and offers course for people to develop outdoor skills and admission is free.
Judges fro the contest include the Prime Minister's wife Sarah Brown, actress Jane Asher and Dame Suzi Leather who chairs the Charity Commission.
