Final Third Development League: Leyton Orient 0 AFC Wimbledon 0

Leyton Orient played out a goalless draw in their Final Third Development League match with AFC Wimbledon this afternoon.

The O’s had to play all of the second half with 10 men after Sandro Semedo was shown a straight red card.

But the Dons were unable to capitalise as the clash at Brisbane Road finished without any goals.

Player-manager Kevin Nolan included a number of first team players during the match with Ollie Palmer and Blair Turgott given minutes.

Bradley Pritchard and Nigel Atangana were also involved while Connor Essam, Alan Dunne and Charlie Grainger featured.

Palmer and a trialist wasted decent opportunities to open the scoring before James Shea in the Wimbledon goal was finally tested.

A 25-yard effort from Pritchard was tipped over the crossbar before Orient were reduced to 10 men.

Semedo was given his marching orders for an off-the-ball incident at Brisbane Road.

It failed to stop the O’s, however, as captain Dunne had a free kick saved by Dons custodian moments later.

The visitors come into the game more after the break and David Fitzpatrick fized an effort wide of Grainger’s goal with 57 minutes on the clock.

But neither side were able to produce a telling moment as the match finished goalless.
