UNIVERSITY students in the East End are being warned about the dangers of drinking too much as a campaign is launched in time for Freshers' Week.

Revellers at Queen Mary University's students' union in Mile End will find vinyls in toilet cubicles creating the illusion of someone passed out on the floor as a result of drinking too alcohol.

And they will also see curved mirrors on the bathroom walls to give a distorted appearance.

The initiative is part of the campaign One Two Many, designed by the drinks company Diagio, which is being piloted across 10 universities in the UK to warn students about the dangers of too much booze.

Students will also be given cameras on the night and when the photos are returned they will find additional blurred images, labelled with the message "Some of your memories are blurry. To ensure a better quality night, make sure you drink responsibly.
