Swap event to be held in Bethnal Green Gardens this weekend

Residents are being invited to trade in their unwanted items at a swap event this weekend.

People can bring along things they no longer want or need to Bethnal Green Gardens to help make sure unused gems don’t go to waste.

They are being urged by Tower Hamlets Council to bring along anything from books and DVDs to shoes and toys. Even furniture and sheds can be swapped – but organisers say it is best to bring along a photo rather than more unwieldy objects themselves.

There will also be cycle doctors on hand between 11am and 1pm on Saturday to check bikes are roadworthy and in good condition.

The event will be held on Saturday July 27 at the gardens, by Bethnal Green Underground Station in Cambridge Heath Road.
