SWIMMERS in Tower Hamlets can make a splash in April and help to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Swimathon Foundation.
At St George’s Pool, Shadwell; Mile End Park leisure centre; York Hall leisure centre in Bethnal Green and the Tiller leisure centre in Isle of Dogs, swimmers can power through one-and-a-half, two-and-a-half or five kilometres challenges in aid of charity.
It is part of a nationwide challenge at 580 pools launched by Olympic gold medallist Duncan Goodhew and keen swimmer and TV presenter Gail Porter.
Registration is open until January 31.
