AFC Bournemouth loanee who has impressed this season set to miss out again for O’s

Leyton Orient will be without Harry Cornick again for the trip to Hartlepool United this afternoon.

The 21-year-old has a groin/hip flexor problem, which Nigel Atangana had recently, and won’t be involved at Victoria Park today.

Cornick has yet to feature under new O’s boss Alberto Cavasin after sustaining the problem at Barnet on October 1.

Orient have missed the flair and creativity of the AFC Bournemouth loanee over the past three weeks.

A positive for the east Londoners is the return of captain Robbie Weir for the crucial League Two fixture.

The ex-Burton Albion ace hasn’t featured in the division since earning a straight red card against Plymouth Argyle on September 27.

Although Weir played most of O’s EFL Trophy tie with Southend United earlier this month, he’ll be determined to start helping Orient move up the table now he’s back from his suspension.

Both Jay Simpson and Atangana were substituted due to slight injury problems at home to Luton Town last weekend.

Neither is expected to miss this afternoon and the pair are likely to start against the Monkey Hangers.

It is a crucial match for Orient and Cavasin and they’ll hope to be smiling come full time after picking up all three points.
