Justin Edinburgh will have a number of attacking options at his disposal for the long trip up to the North East

Leyton Orient forward Josh Koroma is expected to be fit to face Hartlepool United after coming off during Saturday’s 1-1 draw at National League leaders Macclesfield Town with a slight knock.

The teenager scored for the second consecutive match and will hope it is enough to keep hold of his starting XI spot.

O’s boss Justin Edinburgh appears to have a number of options at his disposal for the long trip up to the North East.

David Mooney made an impression off the bench on Saturday and Dan Holman could be fit again after shaking off his recent toe injury.

Macauley Bonne netted against Barrow on April 7, so Orient have various players who can feature up front tonight and Edinburgh is keen for them to help O’s push on and end the campaign in good form.

“A top-half finish is our aim. It has to be,” the 48-year-old told the National League website. “Our fans expect that and deserve that so that is what we’ll be trying to do.”

When quizzed about the changes he has made at Brisbane Road since replacing Steve Davis on November 29, Edinburgh admitted he has made things more simply.

Sticking with a 4-4-2 formation has also helped, especially given Orient have players who suit that tactic.

Edinburgh added: “We have installed confidence and we have simplified the way we want to play.

“We are more aggressive and play off the front foot. The system we play suits the players we have and we also have very good players and that makes it easy.”

The O’s will continue to be without James Dayton and Matt Harrold due to hamstring problems, but Charlie Lee is training with the first-team again.

Josh Coulson, meanwhile, is working his way back from a broken toe, so youngsters Marvin Ekpiteta and Dan Happe will be vying for the centre back slot alongside the experienced George Elokobi.

Orient are currently 14th in the table with four games to go, but a win or draw tonight could see them move back into the top-half ahead of Gateshead (13th) and Maidenhead United (12th).
