Goalkeeper Alex Cisak to return to squad after missing out at Hartlepool United due to international duty

Leyton Orient should be able to fill their bench for the visit of York City today (Saturday) after a testing week at Brisbane Road.

Head coach Ian Hendon could only name five substitutes at Hartlepool United on Sunday and saw his side fall to a 3-1 loss, which sees them remain seventh in the League Two table.

Dean Cox and Paul McCallum have both suffered cruciate ligament damage recently while Connor Essam is out for the next month at least with an ankle injury.

Charlie Grainger, who started against the Monkey Hangers last weekend, is unavailable today due to appendicitis so Sam Sargeant will be on the bench again with first choice goalkeeper Alex Cisak back from international duty.

He joined Ryman North outfit Redbridge earlier this week on a work experience loan and played in their 2-0 win over Southend United in the Essex Senior Cup, but has been recalled for this afternoon’s encounter.

Sammy Moore is back too after missing the fixture at Hartlepool after his fiancé had given birth to a baby girl a couple of days before. He may have to settle for a place on the bench, however, with Hendon keeping his midfield the same.

Alan Dunne should keep his place in the team as well despite giving away a penalty last weekend with QPR defender Cole Kpekawa likely to be among the substitutes after joining the club this week on an initial one-month loan.

York have lost their last five matches in all competitions and haven’t picked up a point in the league since drawing 2-2 with Dagenham & Redbridge on October 20, but the O’s know they need to deliver a victory today.

President Francesco Becchetti ordered the players and coaching staff to stay in the Marriott Hotel this week following the loss at Hartlepool and a win is much-needed.
