Justin Edinburgh will be without a handful of players when they host the U’s later this afternoon

Justin Edinburgh and Leyton Orient will be without defenders Jake Caprice and Jamie Sendles-White for the visit of National League leaders Sutton United today.

The pair were absent last weekend as the O’s lost 1-0 to bottom of the table Solihull Moors at Damson Park.

Caprice was shown a straight red card at Torquay United on November 25 and will this afternoon serve the second game of his three-match ban.

Meanwhile Sendles-White has not featured for Orient since the 2-2 draw with Chester at Brisbane Road on November 21.

The ex-Queens Park Rangers youngster was sent off against the Blues and therefore missed the trip to Torquay.

But Sendles-White’s conduct after his red, saw him handed a misconduct charge and handed a two-game ban, which will be over once he has sat out this afternoon’s game.

With Caprice suspended last Saturday, Myles Judd came in at Solihull for his first appearance since the 2-1 loss at Ebbsfleet United (November 11).

Although the young right-back didn’t have his best game in an Orient shirt, his effort was never lacking and he is likely to get another chance later.

One of Edinburgh’s first choices as boss was to pick goalkeeper coach Dean Brill over Charlie Grainger or Sam Sargeant.

Brill will continue in goal and look to build on what was an encouraging first start in two-and-a-half years.

The O’s will again be without George Elokobi (hamstring) and Charlie Lee (ACL), but Josh Coulson is edging closer to a return after missing the last couple of months with a groin injury.

Alex Lawless was absent from Solihull with a groin issue as well, but Orient will hope to have him available for selection today.

He could provide an alternative option in midfield while Freddy Moncur will aim to be involved in the squad after returning from a successful loan at Bishop’s Stortford on Monday.

After failing to win any of their last 15 league games, Orient will be out to give their fans something to shout about in Edinburgh’s first home match in charge of the O’s.
