Peterborough United loanee might return for trip to York

Leyton Orient are sweating on the fitness of defender Shaun Brisley ahead of the trip to York City (today).

The Peterborough loanee missed the 2-0 loss to Hartlepool United on Bank Holiday Monday with a dead leg.

He suffered that during the defeat at Accrington Stanley on Good Friday, but Kevin Nolan said he was hopeful of having the 25-year-old available for the clash at Bootham Crescent.

Jobi McAnuff and Calaum Jahraldo-Martin should be in the match day squad for the vital League Two fixture.

Both have been away on international duty with Jamaica and Antigua & Barbuda respectively and were missed over Easter.

Nolan will be delighted to see them return with McAnuff likely to start and questions remain over who should play in midfield against the Minstermen.

Lloyd James impressed in his 15-minute cameo on Monday and could come into the side at York while Jack Payne was one of few to shine on Monday.

Paul McCallum and Dean Cox remain on the sidelines, but both are working hard to get back to full fitness before the conclusion of the campaign.

The former West Ham United forward is pushing to return before the end of the April. although the clash wtih Yeovil Town on May 7 is more likely.

Cox, meanwhile, is hoping to be available for the play-offs, but Orient will first need to win this afternoon to boost their hopes of finishing inside the top seven.
