A public meeting is being held tonight in London’s deprived East End for families on benefits who will be hit by the Government’s proposed capping.
It is being staged by Telco, east London’s Citizens’ network, looking into how capping will affect the community—one of the poorest in Britain.
A Tower Hamlets council official is at the meeting to explain the effects and answer questions.
The meeting open to all is in the seminar room at the East London Muslim Centre in Whitechapel at 7.15pm.
