Detectives have been given more time to question four men, including a teenager, who were arrested in east London on suspicion of terror offences.

The men aged 18, 24, 25, and 27, are being quizzed on suspicion of being concerned in commissioning, preparing or instigating acts of terrorism after they held on Wednesday.

They are all in custody at a police station in south London.

The arrests were pre-planned as part of an ongoing investigation by Scotland Yard and MI5 and are linked to activity in the UK.

Five residential and business addresses, all in east London, were searched as part of the investigation.
