The victim's handbag contained her own personal property and no Royal Mail property was stolen during the robbery.

Police have described the mugger as a white man, around 5ft 7ins tall, wearing blue jeans with a dark grey hooded top with the hood up.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to contact Det Con Dele Alabi in the robbery squad on 020 8217 3838 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
