The oldest children’s hospice in London is asking people to think about their own death as part of Dying Matters awareness week.
East London’s Richard House in Beckton wants them to write about the ultimate wish they want to fulfil before they die.
“People find it hard to talk about dying,” said Richard House chief executive Peter Ellis. “We don’t want them to be sad—just think about what they really want to do before they run out of time.”
The charity is suggesting writing the wish on a post-it note to put on a board in any of its charity shops at Dagenham, Barking, Romford, Elm Park, Hornchurch and Upminster during national awareness week from next Monday to the following Friday, May 18.
