Two men from Stepney and one from the Isle of Dogs have been committed for trial as part of the Met Police Operation Vocare into crime involving using mopeds or motor-scooters.
Zakir Hossain, a 40-year-old from Hannibal Road in Stepney Green, appeared in custody at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Saturday with Iftehar Ahmed, 32, from Tarling Street, Stepney.
Both are charged with conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal and with conspiracy to receive stolen goods. They were remanded in custody to Blackfriars Crown Court for trial on March 26.
The third man, Munna Miah, 30, from Manchester Road, Isle of Dogs, was bailed for trial on the same day at Blackfriars, charged with conspiracy to receive stolen goods.
All three were arrested last March, but charged on Friday. They appeared at Highbury Magistrates’ court on Saturday to be committed for trial.
